The Camaro is a sports car built as a two-door coupé or convertible by the Chevrolet brand, which belongs to the US car manufacturer General Motors (GM). The car, compact by American standards, was created as a competitor to the Ford Mustang and became a popular 2+2-seater as a typical representative of the pony cars. GM called the hardtop coupé version, which lacked the B-pillar, the "Sport Coupé". Sales began on September 29, 1966 with the '67 model year.
