More info
In January 1998, Mazda presented the second generation of the MX-5 (production code NB). More powerful engines were offered: the 1.6-liter engine produced 81 kW (110 hp), the 1.8-liter engine 103 kW (140 hp). In 1999, Mazda celebrated the 10th anniversary of the MX-5 with a limited edition of 7500 units worldwide. This 10th Anniversary model had a number of special features, such as a six-speed gearbox, Bilstein shock absorbers, a strut brace between the front strut domes, highly polished five-spoke Enkei 15-inch alloy wheels and an engine output of 103 kW (140 hp). It was only produced in sapphire metallic blue. The serial number can be found on a badge on the left-hand side of the vehicle below the side blinker. The vinyl roof was also blue. The steering wheel and gear knob were also made by Nardi. The top speed of this model was given as 206 km/h in the registration documents. Source: Wikipedia)
